[ADDENDUM added early on 5 March GMT, shortly after I sent a wide circulation email after 'Cowboy' Bob Sorensen falsely accused me - again - of 'blatant misrepresentation':
https://www.piltdownsuperman.com/2019/0 ... m=facebook''Romans chapter 8 explains that the whole world is groaning because of sin.'' Not really. See verses 18-23 in the New International Version:
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?s ... ersion=NIVRomans 8:22 says ''We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time''. You can only make the chapter say what Ken Ham says it says by invoking - maybe with justification - the Curse in Genesis 3 (and I admit that Genesis does mention childbirth as well as the ground):
https://answersingenesis.org/sin/origin ... -creation/https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?s ... ersion=NIVAlso my post headline is not saying that Ham seeks to provide proofs of the Bible not being infallible. But his words highlight that in some cases the Bible is wrong; including on how old it - implies - Earth is.]
https://www.facebook.com/aigkenham/''Here's another example of documented cancer in the fossil record supposedly millions of years old. This is a major problem for those Christians who believe in millions of years, as it means (for them) that cancer (disease) existed before sin.
There are many documented examples of various diseases in fossil bones supposedly millions of years old. But the Bible states clearly that before sin, God declared everything He created “very good” (Genesis 1:31). This would mean God calls cancer “very good.”
For those Christians who believe in millions of years, blaming disease and cancer on God and not our sin is to attack the character of our holy God. Also, allowing death, disease, and bloodshed before sin undermines the atonement and thus the gospel.
The Bible is clear--death, disease, and bloodshed in this world are the result of our sin. Romans chapter 8 explains that the whole world is groaning because of sin. Christians who believe in millions of years need to give up this terrible compromise belief:
https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2019/02 ... d-turtle''Science has discovered the truth - and bigot Ken Ham hates that and so tries to lecture Christians that they should deny science by trying to frighten them that they are 'sinning against God' by accepting scientific reality.
As indeed I see the opening comment highlights. Namely ''It only provides a problem to those who buy into the entirely unscientific and unsupported supposition that the entire universe is only 6,000 years old.
To those of us with the ability to understand science and take it seriously, the existence of cancer (or anything else) in the fossil record doesn’t pose a problem.''
But Ken Ham will never get real. He's too full of pride and messianic zeal.
However 'biblical' timescales alone are NOT the truth of Earth history. We've known that for many many decades now.
