"My Response to President Obama
Did God hear President Obama at the end of his speech when he said “God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America”? You can watch my response to his recent speech in this video, or you can read the article here:

"

How furious might Ham have been if Obama (whose speech at 1 am UK time I watched and which said little that was new) had NOT said "Thank you. God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America"?

Big Ken Scam appears to be playing politics which is not a good idea as his organisation has tax-emept status - US Federal rules require that tax-emept oorganisations do not indulge in politics.

Stll, Scam is a wiley beast and he has got round this "problem" in the past.

On reflection, it looks to be an act of desperation from ex-Big Ken Scam. Anything to get attention for his floundering acts of hubris!. He doesn't actualy say anything in the blog post.

Does anyone here get the feeling that the American political right is just about to walk over the edge of a cliff?

It's been a bumper week for bigotry of various kinds. More Facebook nonsense from Georgia Purdom of AiG:

I'm shocked! No wait- I'm not. The finding of soft tissue is absolutely consistent with historical science based on the biblical worldview and absolutely INCONSISTENT with historical science based on man's ideas about the past.
Does this mean evolutionists will change their mind? No. Because it isn't about the evidence and the evidence is clear. It's about a worldview and that they will not give up as they continue to suppress the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18)."

Last night I also listened to THIS, after reading the most recent Naturalis Historia blog (according to Ken Ham in his kids talk about dinos the Creation Museum tells the 'truth'):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-g_hk_KKro

It is clear from most of their pronouncements that for Answers in Genesis the evidence is NOT paramount - it's all about the 'biblical worldview' trumping everything real scientists think they know about the unseen past (topical pun unintended) and a bit of fury (topical pun intended) about those evil lying evolutionists.

The only reason why ex-big Ken Scam is in the USA is that the place is full of religious crazies. Methinks that the crazies are in for a shock. They are increasingly backing Donald Dump who looks set to be a disaster for the GOP.

Yeah, Trump is probably a symptom of the same detachment of we see here of voters from the established political class, which seems to earth itself through non-establishment candidates, almost regardless of their suitability. Here we got Corbin, Farage and the SNP, France votes National Front, but America has to go one better...

Though Trump clearly speaks to a certain segment of the right-wing US electorate, which we here are passingly familiar with. Fortunately I suspect Trumps apparent strategy over making controversial statements to get himself noticed on social media and then subsequent media coverage (he's spent mere millions of dollars versus say Jed who's dumped over 20 million dollars in to TV advertising) will eventually bite him in the ass once he comes up against the democratic presidential campaign!

The one thing I find really strange is that the support Trump seems to be picking up on the religious right. His anti-muslim rhetoric and general social conservatism no doubt speaks to certain segments of that constituency, but I don't see him as being obviously their man.

I must admit that for the first time, I'm beginning to understand the United States. The place has long baffled me.

Still, I suspect that Donald Dump, if he is elected President, will throw a few crumbs to the religious right and nothing more. That how all GOP Presidents have ever done. The religious right, despite all the noice, is on its way out.

As for Dump's prospects of becoming President - he seems to be little more than half a ton of condemned meat in a suite.
