Is there a Liberal Creationist? Creationist Liberal?

Postby Brian Jordan » Sun Jul 19, 2015 1:32 pm

The newly elected leader of the Liberal Democrats, Tim Farron, seems to be a self-declared Biblical literalist. Nowhere can I find any mention of his views on evolution or the age of the Earth. Is that good news, or have I just not looked in the right places?

A quick look at his wikipedia page suggests not - though he seems to about to hoist himself on the petard for Christians in public life that is the 'gay issue'. He also has a history it seems of poor use of language or at least signing letters he didn't read properly... His use of the phrase 'biblical literalist' may actually not be the dog whistle we usually associate it with based on what I can sift out of internet of the actual context.
