Bridge Schools Inspectorate to go

Postby Brian Jordan » Mon Jun 15, 2015 9:57 am

The Bridge Schools Inspectorate, which in 2008 took over responsibility from Ofsted for inspecting many private Muslim schools, will cease operations in October after coming under strong pressure from ministers and Sir Michael Wilshaw, the chief inspector of schools.
The BSI has been condemned largely on its failures regarding Muslim schools, but the CST half of it hasn't excaped:
The other partner in the BSI is the Christian Schools’ Trust, with the inspectorate also accused of ignoring issues in Christian schools.

Its most recent report into the Bethany school in Sheffield states that “the provision for pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is outstanding in all respects.”

It does not mention that the school’s curriculum is based on creationism, with children taught as a literal truth that the universe was created in six days.

Thats brilliant news. Doubly so since I'd been worried they might have given newly unemployed Tim Hunt :D a job - what with his propensity to nick radical Islams excuses to keep women segregated lest they distract men.

So nice to see that organisation get it's just rewards (and that individual).
