Allow schools to teach Divinity

Postby ukantic » Wed Mar 25, 2009 6:36 pm

So, a leading GCSE examinations board is to teach atheism in its Religious Studies course. So how, pray, does that sit with all the siren-secular voices who object so violently to creationism getting a look in during the evolution bits of a science class?

So, a leading journalistic priest is trying to stir up trouble because nobody delighted in his blog last week demanding that cretinism be taught in science classes. More is worse.

How does one teach atheism?

"Class? Today we are going to teach you about atheism. Atheists don't believe there's a god. Any questions? OK, class dismissed!"

Why don't you ask the creationists' leading intellect", the boy from Belper on this? Why, you would come up with some gems -

"Most Christians are atheists."

"All atheists are Evilutionists."

"All Catholics are atheists."

"Most pastors/priests are atheists because they don't repent enough."

Ad nauseum, ad infinitum.
