IAA Lectures 2008/2009

Although they have already started, this season's lecture programme for the Irish Astronomical Association looks quite good:

The one on Feb 4th on star formation looks interesting (an area of astro-physics often attacked by YECs). Jocelyn Bell Burnell also gives a talk entitled "astronomy and poetry" on April 1st.

For those living in and around the greater Belfast area, these talks are always worth going along to. Note that the venue has now changed from Stranmillis College to the main physics building in QUB (beside the Whitla Hall)
