Ham, Maher, Nye and Myers - and a new row over 'science'

Creationist bloggers can be infuriating. If one has infuriated you by persisting in nonsense even when corrected, or refusing to reply to your criiticsm, you may feel driven to recording the fact. If so, you may register your disapproval here and hope a response is forthcoming.

Ham, Maher, Nye and Myers - AND Comfort

Richard Dawkins: "Even a very mild criticism of religion, even a very gentle criticism of religion, is literally heard - heard - as though it was aggressive".

Ray Comfort: "They embrace a lie rather than the truth. They choose to believe a lie. The Bible says they've received 'strong delusion and they certainly are strongly deluded'".

Who is this Mark Spence character? Ugh.

PPS
Ah yes, he's a scientist. NOT. Just somebody who appears to like shouting at great length on creationist TV programmes. And it seems he has the gall to slag off Nye concerning science and 'intelligent design' (on the Maher programme they were mostly discussing the MOON not life).

And Spence also lies that Myers has not presented any details of what he said to Comfort regarding evidence for evolution that was cut from Evolution vs God:

Spence also likes calling people he does not know 'arrogant'.

Ah yes, the Bible gives us the scientifically accurate account of how the moon - that light in the night (it doesn't really suggest a light source you know just an object that lights the Earth) - came to exist. Its beginnings were cold and wet - just like Genesis tells us, somewhere.

I'm aware there's a separate 'moon' thread as well, but this probably should be posted here because - for whatever reason (probably the Nye-Maher conversation) - I placed my preceding post here.

Oh look. A young Earth creationist has written an article about atheism - and then started talking about Nazi Germany (as well as abortion and other ills).

'A tale of two fish: What happens when society teaches its young people that atheism is ‘science’?'
Mr Calvin Smith appears to think he is living in the former Soviet Union. He actually is based in Canada.
As someone has commented at CMI's Facebook page (I agree with part of this): ""atheism is ‘science’?" How disingenuous! Atheism is nothing — it is only the non-belief in gods. It offers no community, no set dogma. It's not even a belief in the active sense! Many theistic scientists believe in evolution too. Your post is dishonest, and a clear strawman".
