Rabble rouser Ken Ham and his biased Facebook fans

Creationist bloggers can be infuriating. If one has infuriated you by persisting in nonsense even when corrected, or refusing to reply to your criiticsm, you may feel driven to recording the fact. If so, you may register your disapproval here and hope a response is forthcoming.

The task Ken Ham has set himself is probably impossible. Too many plain falsehoods (including at their two well-known facilities) are required to try and persuade an increasing number young people and adults over time that the WHOLE of the Bible is "the actual Word of God, and is to be taken literally, word for word". Or might AiG have failed to some degree as well? NO such thought appears to enter the mind of Ham. Just this "Frankly, I believe their parents and churches are partly to blame". Well that stands to reason since AiG are NEVER to blame for anything ...

"Parents, pastors, Sunday school teachers, youth leaders, Christian teachers—are you actively working to instill a belief in the inerrancy, inspiration, and authority of the Scriptures in the young people under your influence? Are you simply assuming they view the Bible in this way? Are you actively undermining this belief by allowing for compromise regarding the history recorded in God’s Word?" ... "I encourage you to arm yourself with resources (such as our newly updated and expanded Answers Bible Curriculum) and dedicate yourself to training up a generation of young people in the way they should go."

That's a call to indoctrination (not really in how to behave but in what specifically to THINK) if ever there was one. I don't call this man a Rabble Rouser for nothing. The alarm bells that started ringing in my head when I first heard Ken Ham on video in 1988 or 1989 ('The Genesis Solution' I believe) have never stopped ringing since.

If the Christian God is truly the authority he does not need the falsehoods and indoctrination of impressionable young people from Ken Ham and AiG. If he does need such the Bible is INSUFFICIENT and INACCURATE taken literally and God approves of false/non-factual apologetics arguments and bibiolatry.

"As I have previously discussed, belief that the earth is flat has rapidly grown of late, largely through dissemination via countless Internet sites and the influence of social media. Unfortunately, many Christians have fallen prey to this, misled into believing that the Bible teaches the earth is flat and that, until five centuries ago, the church likewise taught that the earth is flat."
Astonishing. And of course the Bible is pretty ambiguous on the shape of this planet to say the least. But I have seen eg that 'Earthrise' photo taken by Apollo astronauts in 1968. So on this occasion I side with AiG against stupid Christians (and non-Christians) across the pond. (I'm open to correction but I don't think eg the Church of England in 2017 is stuffed full of evangelistic flat-earthers.)

"According to a new study, “biological annihilation” is around the corner for many of the earth’s species. The researchers claim a sixth mass extinction is now underway, this one caused by mankind. Of course, in a biblical worldview there’s only been one mass extinction, caused by the global Flood of Noah’s day."
Ken Ham twisting the Bible again (and lying about scientific reality). The Bible does NOT teach that the flood (or anything from resulting from it) was a 'mass extinction'.

CLOSE the Ark Encounter. All those animals died in a 'mass extinction'. None were saved.

Ice Sheet vs Ken Ham

Postby a_haworthroberts » Mon Jul 24, 2017 9:33 pm

In places this ice sheet is 2 miles/3 kilometres deep.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-40686984

Ken Ham would claim to think this whole Greenland ice sheet was formed in less than 4,500 years.

Ken Ham is a FRAUD.

"Here is Bill Nye again accusing those who reject his version of climate change as climate-change deniers. He continues to accuse me of being a climate-change denier, too. Personally I don't know anyone who is a climate-change denier--but there are a lot of people who recognize that climate change is a complicated issue and can be interpreted differently. For instance, if one (like Bill Nye) rejects biblical history, then that person will not recognize that the Fall and the Flood have greatly affected how climates change. In this article, Bill Nye is decrying the older generation. He knows the younger generation are by and large more brainwashed in secularism and evolutionary teaching and are generally not taught how to think critically. Thus, he is hoping the younger generation will be more supportive of his false anti-observational science views of climate change. (check out articles on the AiG website about climate change like this one: [references]"

Ken Ham is DANGEROUS. Exploiting a clumsy remark by Nye. The Nemesis he hates. Ignore him. He's a lunatic.

US right wing religious extremist inciting his 'fans' again

https://www.facebook.com/cowboybobsorensen (the aggressive bigot bloke, who refuses even to justify his own BLOG LIES as demonstrated last week - and who went to a Ku Klux Klan rally and thinks he should be taken seriously and that he shouldn't be labelled a fascist:

"Bill Nye the Fascist Guy wants people dead. Right now, it's old white people. But like other fascist systems in the past, once those in charge are comfortable with eliminating certain undesirables. Old, unborn, infirm... Eugenics is a form of social Darwinism, and expands to the elimination of other undesirables — such as those who disagree with the consensus. Bill Nye is a vile, despicable creature. [link]"

Old people, particularly the poor and those in the developing world, will die SOONER if dangerous man-caused global warming is inadequately tackled. Which is what the liars Sorensen, Ham, Trump etc support.

Fascist coward Sorensen is inspiring HATRED. Again. He's not a Christian. He's a bully and a bigot.

Nye's crimes? Slaughtering Ken Ham with facts twice. And occasionally speaking before fully engaging his brain. And wearing a bow tie.

Ashley Haworth-Roberts is once again lying through misrepresentation. I saw both times that Cowboy Bob Sorensen mentioned attending a Ku Klux Klan rally. Both times it involved freedom of speech. His latest article was about defending the rights of Richard Dawkins. Although Ashley Haworth-Roberts provided the link he did not include relevant facts in his complaint.

I see the resident whinger who sits at the feet of a proven liar and extremist is back on the board doing what he always does.

And I am just back from hospital (25 July - 5 August) hopefully fully recovered.

For clarity, when I quoted and discussed what Sorensen wrote (hatefully) about Bill Nye in my post of early on 25 July I was quoting Sorensen's words of 21 July displayed HERE:
https://www.facebook.com/cowboybobsorensen (the words were not at his Stormbringer's Thunder blog)

Contrary to the hysteria of the Sorensen acolyte Gordons my post contained NO 'misrepresentation' and NO 'lying'. I was not attempting to discuss the blog post concerning Sorensen's views on free speech or Richard Dawkins being de-platformed. I merely included the Stormbringer's Thunder link to confirm that Sorensen once went to one of those (racist) Ku Klux Klan rallies.

"What makes the Creation Museum, Ark Encounter, and the message of AiG so powerful? How is it so inspiring to Christians (and infuriating to atheists)? In a word, authority. In two words, biblical authority.
You see, the core message of AiG is that all of God’s Word is true! It’s right about the beginning, middle, and the end. It’s right about salvation! Why? Because God gets everything right; therefore his Word is always the ultimate authority and always trustworthy.
For the believer, this message of biblical authority is exceptionally empowering because it directly addresses the enemy’s modern-day attack that has subtly eroded the confidence of many Christians to stand on the Word of God. For generations now Christians have been bombarded with the refrain that the Bible cannot be trusted in this “scientific age.” As a result, many have either compromised the Bible’s clear teaching on origins, which has gospel consequences, or have been embarrassed into silence, which also has gospel consequences."

This is fanaticism where the ends justify the means, including lying as many times as is necessary (that's a lot of times) about biology and the like.

No. It's not 'biblical authority' (which means what AIG CLAIM not merely what the Bible says) which people may be infuriated by. Rather it is the power and arrogance of self-appointed 'creationist' experts who cynically lie [see eg previous posts in this thread] to the gullible in an effort to turn them fanatical, vocal, closed-minded and militant (not based on the gospel but on the opening chapters of Genesis) which annoys the hell out of many people, including more moderate and honest Christians.

"So many people are revolutionized by realizing that the Bible’s plain history is true; that real science confirms biblical historical events; and that, by standing on God’s Word, Christians have good answers to the skeptical questions of this age." ('Revolutionised' sounds a bit similar to 'radicalised' in the case of islamist fanatics.)

Thanks to AiG and their ilk, these Christians have decided that all other opinions to young earth creationism are evil and from the devil. Yes. And think of Ken Ham shamelessly indoctrinating audiences of kids about a 'recent global flood' and humans living 'alongside' dinosaurs. This is some sort of cult pushing falsehoods and fanaticism in the name of the Christian gospel. The evidence is NOT on their side. Hence the indoctrination and the whipping up of fanaticism and talk of 'power' and 'authority'. Plus the hard pushing of AiG CURRICULAR materials! Followed by the question"Will you Stand?" These people have NO scruples, no shame and no integrity. (Previously someone indoctrinated them or maybe they indoctrinated themselves.)

And Ken Ham is getting feverishly excited about 7 July (and to be honest 4 July too):

"What makes the Creation Museum, Ark Encounter, and the message of AiG so powerful? And why are these two outreaches so inspiring to Christians and infuriating to atheists? Two words: biblical authority."
No - I suggest that the words you are looking for are fervour and lies.

PS And here's an example of that AiG LYING:

This is that Nature paper:

Why are there so many extinct apes, Ken Ham (I mean the real ones not the ones you falsely label 'apes' when they are actually in the genus Homo and lived much more recently than this creature)?
