Seems to be a bit of quantum replication here, Roger, both within and between posts.
Seriously, though, it sounds to be a fascinating talk and Jim Al=Kalili is likelly to keep it intelligible to non-quantum mechanics. I'm a bit sceptical though, within or without the pub, as to whether quantum mechanics is required to explain life. While it underlies chemistry (and so biology) it explains how chemistry works, rather than what chemistry does.
Paul may well have a different perspective, of course!
