The system won't let me upload my FSM avatar:

Says it needs to be smaller than 6 kb or something. This is just a little bitty black-and-white picture - how much smaller can it get?

Yikes. that "small" image is 20K in size... not sure why.

Try using this copy instead - it's only 1.1K for exactly the same image:

I had the same problem - it rejected mine because it was 80 by 87 pixels and the max it could handle was 80 by 80.

So I just clicke don the the original and edited in in whatever the standard MS software is for editing photos and drawings. There is a box somewhere that lets you define the number of pixels which is what I did and bingo, the whole thing works.
